Floura teeter Offices

Location: Baltimore, MD
Client: Floura Teeter Landscape Architects
Size: 3,740 SF
Budget: $550,000

Embracing the post-pandemic shift towards a hybrid work model and smaller office space, Floura Teeter Landscape Architects (FTLA) signed a lease for a space on the fifth floor of a new high-rise building in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore.  The catch: the new space has a footprint that is half the size of FTLA’s previous offices.  Working within a 3,740 sf floor plate, FTLA’s new home has the capacity to accommodate up to 20 team members on occasions when the full staff meets and to host clients and events.

Clad in a minimal palette with warm wood accents, the space features a flexible floor plan with an open studio with multiple hoteling work stations, casual seating areas for work and collaboration opportunities, and more separate breakout rooms that can be opened up to the rest of the office.  The central kitchen connects the studio to the breakout rooms and acts as the social center of the space while also offering additional space for team members to work from.

Support spaces are grouped at the interior of the plan in a wood paneled volume, allowing the studio and social spaces radiating around it to take advantage of natural light and the views to the surrounding neighborhood and downtown Baltimore.   FTLA's new space offers multiple options for both individual and collaborative work environments and embraces a flexible and social office model.
