MARYSSA TIMBERLAKE, AIA
Maryssa is a registered architect with more than eight years of experience in housing, mixed-use, commercial improvement, and community-led projects. She enjoys shaping projects from initial concepts and schematics and guiding them through to completion. A Baltimore native, Maryssa is passionate about collaborating with local clients and developers who are working to make a positive impact on her hometown – whether it be an adaptive reuse for a small business or a multi-block housing rehabilitation effort. Being a small part of transformative projects across the city has been a truly rewarding experience for her.
Her recent work includes Rebuild Metro’s Mura Street project, where she has been part of reimagining a block of long-vacant rowhouses into larger, livable homes in partnership with neighborhood advocates and developers working toward equitable revitalization. With Native American Lifelines, Maryssa has helped design a facility in a historic Baltimore home that integrates healthcare services with spaces for cultural practices, community gatherings, and intergenerational learning—an effort that celebrates Indigenous heritage while creating a place of belonging.
Outside of the office, Maryssa was a coordinator for the ULI Baltimore Partnership Forum and a consultant for the Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program at the University of Maryland, where she develops mixed-use concept designs for graduate students. In her free time, she enjoys dabbling in photography and exploring new coffee shops in the pursuit of good caffeine.
