Big thanks to Preservation Maryland for hosting us at Guilford Hall Brewery for David Lopez's "Spirited History" presentation on adaptive reuse, breweries, and Maryland history. We’re grateful for the opportunity to explore how historic spaces can find new life—and flavor—in today’s communities.

Preservation Maryland is the state's oldest and largest nonprofit preservation organization dedicated to harnessing the power of historic places by revitalizing and reinvesting in communities, advocating, and building the historic trades workforce for the benefit of all Marylanders. The series is part of a larger project, Spirited History: Distilling, Brewing & Winemaking in Maryland, which includes the publication of a report, along with hosting several public programs that raise awareness of this heritage industry and connect the history of beer, wine, and spirits to physical sites across the state.
